It’s full speed ahead for the logistics centre extension

As previously reported febi is building a new logistics centre at its Ennepetal headquarters

The project, which at a cost of €32 million represents the largest investment in the company’s history, is well on schedule.

The construction of the distribution centre is virtually complete and you are now able to appreciate the full size of this new building. Parts of the internal logistics system are also installed. The start up is scheduled for the end of August and existing logistics systems shall be integrated into the whole system no later than the end of 2008.

The construction of the new logistics centre is the company’s respond to an ever increasing demand for febi parts. The closeness of the head office to the logistics centre as well as the increase in capacity ensures even better product availability and faster delivery times from febi.

The entire new construction comprises floor space of 22,000 m² and provides an additional 40,000 pallet locations and 99,000 bin locations.
